Before working in the realm of wood, I started my creative journey through traditional painting and drawing mediums as an illustrator and exhibiting artist. I graduated with a BA Illustration from Melbourne Polytechnic and Fine Art Honors from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 2020.

While I love bringing bold, detailed, stylized illustrations to life, I am not a creature made for sitting still at a desk. The creative drive flows as strongly as the need for movement. I feel most alive when chasing a creative project or wandering around in nature, and carving with wood harmonized each of these joys in unison.

I have been most fortunate to have met and trained with Australian chainsaw carving champion Rob Bast, who has been my wood-working mentor for the past five years and who has inspired and encouraged me to chase the dream myself!

If you have followed my journey from illustration, never fear! I still accept pet portrait requests and am open to traditional illustration/artwork enquiries also.

(A side note that no trees are felled for my purposes - all wood is ethically sourced)
